Cyprus (, Kýpros, ; , ), officially the Republic of Cyprus (, Kypriaki´ Dimokratía, ; , ), is an island country in the Eastern Mediterranean Sea, east of Greece, south of Turkey, west of Syria, Lebanon, northwest of Israel and north of Egypt. Cyprus is the third largest island in the Mediterranean Sea and the Republic of Cyprus is a member state of the European Union.

Zypern, griechisch Kypros (Κύπρος), türkisch Kıbrıs, englisch und lateinisch Cyprus, ist eine Insel im östlichen Mittelmeer. Sie ist die drittgrößte Insel des Mittelmeeres und gehört geographisch zu Asien, wird politisch jedoch oft zu Europa gezählt.
