Zug
Zug (German: French: Zoug, Italian: Zugo, Romansch: Zug, Latin: named in the 16th century: Tugium), is a German-speaking city in Switzerland. The name ‘Zug’ originates from fishing vocabulary; in the Middle Ages it referred to the right to ‘pull up’ fishing nets and hence to the right to fish.

Zoug (ville)
Zoug est une ville de Suisse, capitale du canton du même nom. Elle est située au nord-est du lac de Zoug, à égale distance de Lucerne et de Zurich.

Zug (stad)
Zug är huvudstad i kantonen Zug i Schweiz. Befolkningen uppgick till 25 778 invånare i slutet av 2008, med totalt 106 015 invånare i storstadsområdet. Staden är belägen vid Zugsjön vid foten av Zugerberg (1039 meter över havet). På bergets lägre sluttningar växer många fruktträd och Zugs mest bekanta jordbruksprodukt är kirschwasser. De flesta invånarna talar tyska och är katoliker.

Zug – miasto w środkowej Szwajcarii, nad jeziorem Zug, na północny-wschód od Lucerny. Stolica kantonu Zug.
Liczba mieszkańców w 2004 roku wynosiła ok. 24 tys.
Zabytki: zamek (XIII-XVI w.), wieże obronne (XIV-XVI w.), kościół św. Oswalda (XV, XVI w.), kaplica (XIV, XVII w.), klasztor Kapucynów (XVIII w.), ratusz (XVI w.), mennica (XVI, XVII w.), domy (XV-XIX w.).
