Zone

The word Zone (from Greek ζωνη) originally meant a belt, worn in various forms by ancient Greek men and women, as in the Orthodox priestly Zone (vestment). In Classical Antiquity, this was also extended to cover the idea of dividing the earth into latitudinal belts or Climes. Now the word may refer to a general region or domain in many contexts, including:Zone (BS), a town and comune in the Province of Brescia, Lombardy, ItalyZone defense, in basketballZoning, in urban planningPlant hardiness zone, in gardening and other agriculture, tells people how the climate in their area affects plants. ZONE is a J-Pop band started in Sapporo, Japan in 1999, that went on to become a hit in 2000 with their single GOOD DAYS. Their most famous song is . ZONE has been categorized in a new genre called "bandol" (a portmanteau of the words and idol) and was started by Studio RunTime.

Zone (aus dem Griechischen für Gürtel) bedeutet soviel wie Bereich, Areal und Abschnitt. Allgemein versteht man darunter einen nach außen gewandten, von außerhalb wahrnehmbaren Teil eines Ganzen, wobei eine Zone sich nach einem bestimmten Kriterium von ihrer Umgebung (benachbarten Zonen) unterscheidet. Die Einteilung in Zonen wird als Zonierung bezeichnet.

ZONE war eine J-Pop-Band, die 1999 in Sapporo, Japan gegründet wurde. Ihren Durchbruch schaffte sie mit der Single GOOD DAYS, der populärste Song ist Secret Base ~kimi ga kureta mono~. ZONE ist einem neuartigem Genre zuzuordnen, dem Bandol (Band + Idol) und stand beim Studio Runtime unter Vertrag.ZONE wurde von Takayo Okoshi (* 1985) und sieben weiteren Tänzerinnen gegründet und schrumpfte mit der Zeit auf nur vier Mitglieder. Nach dem Bekanntwerden begannen die vier Mädchen Instrumente zu erlernen, um ihren Gesang und Tanz zu unterstützen. Ende 2003 verließ Takayo die Band und wurde durch Tomoka ersetzt. Diese Besetzung blieb bis zum Ende bestehen. Am 31. März 2005 löste sich die Band auf, drei Mitglieder machten ihren Oberschul-Abschluss und gingen ihre eigenen Wege. Die „Spring Tour 2005“ war die letzte Tournee der Band, der letzte Auftritt der Formation fand am 1. April 2005 vor ausverkauftem Haus im Nippon Budokan statt. Das letzte Lied das gespielt wurde war Secret Base ~kimi ga kureta mono~. Noch im gleichen Jahr wurde ein Livemitschnitt dieses Auftritts als DVD veröffentlicht.

Zone è un comune di 1.145 abitanti della provincia di Brescia.Sul territorio del comune è presente la Riserva Regionale delle Piramidi di Erosione, delle enormi colonne di terra sormontate da massi più grossi, che proteggono la colonna sottostante dall'azione erosiva dell'acqua.
