Ziemia

Ziemia (literally 'earth' or 'land' in Polish language, ) is a historical unit of administration in Poland. This term is often translated as 'land' into English language. Note that in Polish language this term is not capitalized (thus 'ziemia chełmińska, not Ziemia Chełmińska).In the prehistoric Poland, this term referred to a territory controlled by a given tribe. The term apparead in medieval Poland (12th-13th centuries), after the fragmentation of Poland. Ziemia referred to a former princedom or duchy, which was reunifed with the Polish Kingdom and lost its political sovereignty but retained its officials hierarchy and bureaucracy. From around 14th centuries some the former princedoms, now 'ziemia's, were assigned to the official known as the voivode and became the primary unit of administration known as voivodeships. However some 'ziemia's were not transformed into a voivodeships. In most cases they were subordinated to a voivodeship and a certain voivode, but retained some privileges and properties of a voivodeship, like they often had their own sejmik (regional parliament) and were referred to as 'ziemia', not 'voivodeship'.

Ziemia – (łac. Terra) trzecia w kolejności (licząc od Słońca) i piąta co do wielkości planeta Układu Słonecznego. Wokół Ziemi krąży jeden naturalny satelita – Księżyc oraz prawdopodobnie dwa księżyce pyłowe (księżyce Kordylewskiego) i znaczna liczba sztucznych satelitów. Stałą, stabilną orbitę posiada także planetoida 3753 Cruithne, która pozostając w rezonansie z orbitą Ziemi przez niektórych naukowców jest uważana za drugi księżyc Ziemi.

Ziemia, jednostka historycznego podziału terytorialnego w Polsce. W średniowiecznej Polsce ziemia była terytorialną jednostką administracyjną powstałą z księstwa, które włączone po okresie rozbicia dzielnicowego do Królestwa Polskiego utraciło odrębność polityczną, ale zachowało własną organizację urzędniczą. W XIV i XV w. większość ziem przekształciła się w województwa, niektóre jednak utrzymały dawną nazwę i własny sejmik.

Ziemia (literalmente 'terra' em polonês, é uma unidade de administração histórica da Polônia. Este termo é freqüentemente traduzido por 'terra' no português. Note que no idioma polonês este termo não é escrito em letra maiúscula (sendo assim 'ziemia chelminska, não Ziemia Chelminska).Na pré-história da Polônia, este termo se referia a um território controlado por uma certa tribo. O termo ressurgiu na Polônia medieval (séculos XII e XIII), depois da fragmentação da Polônia. Ziemia se referia a um antigo principado ou ducado, que foi transformado em parte do território do Reino da Polônia e perdeu a sua soberania política, mas manteve suas hierarquia e burocracia oficiais. Por volta do século XIV alguns dos antigos principados, agora 'ziemia's, foram designados para o cargo conhecido como voivoda e tornaram-se as unidades primárias da administração conhecidas por voivodias. Na maioria dos casos elas ficaram subordinadas a uma voivodia e a um certo voivoda, mas mantiveram alguns privilégios e propriedades de uma voivodia, como elas geralmente tinham a sua própria sejmik (parlamento regional), foram chamadas de 'ziemia' e não de 'voivodia'.
