The Zagros Mountains are the largest mountain range in Iran and Iraq. With a total length of 1,500 km (932 mi), from northwestern Iran, and roughly correlating with Iran's western border, the Zagros range spans the whole length of the western and southwestern Iranian plateau and ends at the Strait of Hormuz. The highest points in the Zagros Mountains are Zard Kuh-bakhtiari and Dena. The Hazaran massif in the Kerman province of Iran forms an eastern outlier of the range, the Jebal Barez reaching into Sistan.

Das Zagros-Gebirge (auch Sagros, ) ist das größte Gebirge des heutigen Iran, wobei kleinere Teile sich auch auf dem Gebiet des Irak befinden, der höchste Berg ist der Zard Kuh mit 4.550 m Höhe.

Les Monts Zagros (Persan: رشته كوه زاگرس; Kurde: Çîyayên Zagrosê) constituent la plus grande chaîne d'Irak et la deuxième plus grande chaîne d'Iran. Elle a une longueur totale de km depuis l'ouest de l'Iran, plus particulièrement la province du Kordestan, aux frontières de l'Irak jusqu'au Golfe Persique. La chaîne se termine au détroit d'Ormuz.

Zagros är en bergskedja som sträcker sig från Persiska viken och 1500 kilometer norrut. De högsta topparna når mer än 4000 meter över havet.

Zagros góry w Iranie, od pd.-zach. obrzeżają Wyżynę Irańską. Długość ok. 1600 km, szerokość 200-300 km. Najwyższy szczyt Zard Kuh, 4548 m. Obejmują kilkanaście grzbietów górskich (biegnących równolegle z pn.-zach. na pd.-wsch.) rozdzielonych podłużnymi obniżeniami pochodzenia tektonicznego i krasowego. Grzbiety z płaskimi wierzchołkami i stromo opadającymi stokami.
