Zagros

The Zagros Mountains (Kurdish: زنجیره‌ چیاکانی زاگروس, ), make up Iran's and Iraq's largest mountain range. They have a total length of 1 500 km from western Iran, specifically South Kurdistan (Northern Iraq) region on the border with Iraq to the southern parts of the Persian Gulf. The mountain range ends at the Straits of Hormuz. The highest points in the Zagros Mountains are Zard Kuh (4 548 m) and Mt.  Dena (4 359 m).

Les Monts Zagros (Persan: رشته كوه زاگرس; Kurde: Çîyayên Zagrosê) constituent la plus grande chaîne d'Irak et la deuxième plus grande chaîne d'Iran. Elle a une longueur totale de km depuis l'ouest de l'Iran, plus particulièrement la province du Kordestan, aux frontières de l'Irak jusqu'au Golfe Persique. La chaîne se termine au détroit d'Ormuz.

Zagros góry w Iranie, od pd.-zach. obrzeżają Wyżynę Irańską. Długość ok. 1600 km, szerokość 200-300 km. Najwyższy szczyt Zard Kuh, 4548 m. Obejmują kilkanaście grzbietów górskich (biegnących równolegle z pn.-zach. na pd.-wsch.) rozdzielonych podłużnymi obniżeniami pochodzenia tektonicznego i krasowego. Grzbiety z płaskimi wierzchołkami i stromo opadającymi stokami.

Le Montagne di Zagros (in lingua persiana: رشته كوه زاگرس, in lingua curda: Çîyayên Zagrosê), sono la catena montuosa più estesa in Iraq e Iran. Essi hanno una lunghezza totale di 1500 km dall'Iran occidentale, specificamente dalla regione del Kurdistan ai confini dell'Iraq, fino al Golfo Persico. La catena finisce sullo Stretto di Hormuz. Il punto più alto dei monti zagros è il monte Dena a 5098 metri di altezza.
