Zabur

Zabur (Arabic: زبور) is the holy book of the Sebo'un (Ar:صابؤون, Grk:Σεβομενοι) which is equated by some scholars with Psalms, is, according to Islam, one of the holy books revealed by God before the Qur'an (the others mentioned in the Quran being the Tawrat and Injil).This term zabur is the Arabic equivalent of the Hebrew zimra, meaning "song, music." It, along with zamir ("song") and mizmor ("psalm"), is a derivative of zamar, meaning "sing, sing praise, make music."

Zabur (en arabe: زبور) est le livre sacré des Sabéens (royaume de Saba) et, selon l'Islam, l'un des livres saints révélé par Dieu avant le Coran (les autres mentionnés dans la Coran étant le Tawrat et Injil). Certains chercheurs assimilent le Zabur biblique avec le livre des Psaumes. Le terme zabur est l'équivalent arabe de l'hébreu zimra, qui signifie « chant, musique ». Zamir ( chanson ) et mizmor ( psaume ), est un dérivé de zamar, qui signifie chanter un louange, faire de la musique.

De Zaboer of Zabur wordt door veel geleerden gelijkgesteld met de Psalmen en is volgens de Koran, een van de heilige boeken die geopenbaard zijn door God vóór de Koran. Het woord zaboer is het Arabische equivalent van het Hebreeuwse woord zimra. Het Hebreeuwse woord heeft de betekenis van "zang, muziek of liederen".
