Z GRILL

The Benjamin Franklin Z-Grill is a 1-cent postage stamp issued by the United States Postal Service in 1868 depicting Benjamin Franklin. With the embossed "Z-Grill" "waffle" on the back, this is considered the rarest and most valuable US stamp. A "Z-Grill" is a specific pattern of tiny squares embossed into the paper and visible on the back of the stamps.

Lo Z-Grill di Benjamin Franklin è un francobollo dal valore facciale di 1 centesimo emesso dal United States Postal Service nel 1868 raffigurante Benjamin Franklin. Impresso nella parte posteriore con la "Griglia a Z", è considerato il francobollo degli Stati Uniti più raro e più importante. “Una Griglia a Z" è una particolare punzonatura a secco che imprimeva dei fori molto piccoli a sezione quadrata nella carta e visibili sulla parte posteriore dei francobolli.
