ZARMA

The Djerma, also spelled Zerma, Zarma, Dyerma, or Zaberma, are a people of westernmost Niger and adjacent areas of Burkina Faso and Nigeria. The Djerma language is one of the Songhai languages, a branch of the Nilo-Saharan language family. The Djerma are considered to be a branch of the Songhai people.

Zarma (Zarma Ciine) est l'un des principaux dialectes du songhaï, avec deux millions de locuteurs, il est parlé au Niger, au Nigeria, et au Burkina Faso. Le songhaï est une langue de l'Afrique de l'ouest parlée dans la vallée du Niger depuis Djenné au Mali jusqu'aux pays Baribas au nord du Bénin. Il a été parlé par une population nombreuse qui a joué un rôle considérable dans l'histoire de l'Afrique.

Die Zarma (auch Djerma) sind eine ethnische Gruppe in Westafrika, die vorwiegend im Südwesten Nigers siedelt, wo sie 2.100.000 Angehörige zählen. Ihre Sprache, das Zarma, ist eine der Songhai-Sprachen. Außerdem leben Zarma in Nigeria, Mali und Burkina Faso, traditionellerweise als Ackerbauern. Für die Ernährungssicherung der Familien sind die Männer zuständig.
