Ynet is one of the most visited Israeli news websites. While it is owned and operated by Yediot Aharonot, the Israeli newspaper with the largest circulation, and includes articles from the tabloid print edition, most of the content is original work published on website only written by a semi-independent staff. Originally launched in both Hebrew and Arabic versions ("Ynet" and "Arabynet"), the Arabic page stopped operating in May 2005. Currently there is also an English edition, Ynetnews. Ynet's main competition is Nrg operated by its competitor in print Maariv.
