Yengema

Yengema is a city located in the Kono District, in the Eastern Province of Sierra Leone. The major industry in the area is diamond mining.The city of Yengema is predominantly Muslim with the population consisting mainly of Kono and Mandinka people. Yengema is the second largest city in Kono District after Koidu. The city population was estimated to be 12,898 in 1985. Yengema has schools, a hospital, and an airport.
