Yapei or Bupei is a town in the Central Gonja District of the Northern Region of Ghana. The White Volta passes through the town; making it an important terminus point. There are few rapids on the eastern end of the river towards Akosombo. As a result navigation is possible; the Yapei Queen which is a cargo ship sails from Akosombo with petrol and other food stuffs up to the Yapei port.

Port w Yapei powstał dzięki projektowemu wsparciu i wydatnej pomocy finansowej Rosji. Mieszkańcy Yapei żyją głównie z rybołówstwa.
