ang. eXtensible Bussines Reporting Language) – rozszerzalny język sprawozdawczości finansowej. Język oparty w ponad 90% na
XML. Pozwala na tzw. "otagowanie" odpowiednich elementów sprawozdania i dzięki temu łatwe i elastyczne formatowanie sposobu, w jaki dane są prezentowane. Język jest niezależny od platformy, na jakiej pracuje użytkownik (jest rozpoznawany przez różne systemy operacyjne). Prace nad rozwojem taksonomii do polskiego sprawozdania finansowego prowadzone są w ramach grupy roboczej polskiej jurysdykcji XBRL.
