X-Files

The X-Files is an American Peabody and Emmy Award-winning science fiction television series created by Chris Carter, which first aired on September 10, 1993, and ended on May 19, 2002. The show was one of the American FOX network's first major hits, and its main characters and slogans (e.g. "The Truth Is Out There," "Trust No One," "I Want to Believe") became pop culture touchstones. The X-Files is seen as a defining series of the 1990s, coinciding with the era's widespread mistrust of governments, interest in conspiracy theories and spirituality, and the belief in the existence of extraterrestrial life.

X-Files, aux frontières du réel (The X-Files) est une série télévisée américaine en 201 épisodes de 43 minutes (202 si on compte le pilote), créée par Chris Carter et diffusée entre le et le sur le réseau Fox. En France, la série a été diffusée à partir du sur M6 et depuis juillet 2008 sur Paris Première. Au Québec, la série fut diffusée à partir de sur TQS (saison 1 à 5) et sur Ztélé à partir de (saison 8 uniquement). En Belgique, la série a été diffusée sur RTL-TVI, à l'exception de la dernière saison qui a été diffusée sur la chaîne, du même groupe, Plug TV. En Suisse, la série a été diffusée intégralement sur TSR1.

Ha avuto un enorme impatto grazie ai vari temi trattati come il paranormale, le teorie del complotto, mutazioni genetiche, UFO ed alieni.Vincitrice nel 1995 del premio Golden Globe per la miglior serie drammatica, tra la prima e la seconda stagione ha avuto un aumento dell'audience del 42%, diventando lo spettacolo televisivo più seguito. Ha al suo attivo ben 9 stagioni, terminate con l'ultimo episodio dove vengono risolti gli interrogativi lasciati in sospeso durante le serie precedenti.
