The X band is a segment of the microwave radio region of the electromagnetic spectrum. In some cases, such as in communication engineering, the frequency range of X band is rather indefinitely set at approximately 7.0 to 11.2 gigahertz (GHz). In radar engineering, the frequency range is specified by the IEEE at 8.0 to 12.0 GHz.

Dans les télécommunications radio, la bande X est une plage de fréquences aux alentours de 8 GHz. Elle est attribuée a l'armée. On la retrouve également dans certains radars météorologiques mais la forte atténuation par les précipitations ne permettent de l'utiliser que sur de courtes portées.

Pasmo X (ang. X band) — fragment widma fal elektromagnetycznych w zakresie promieniowania mikrofalowego o częstotliwościach od 8 do 12,5 GHz. Pasmo to jest wykorzystywane przez niektóre satelity telekomunikacyjne, oraz wojskowe radary, głównie lotniczych systemów kierowania ogniem. Pojęcie pasma X jest używane również w odniesieniu do rozszerzonego pasma AM.
