Wuchang, Hubei

Wuchang is one of the three towns, together with  Hankou and Hanyang, which are included in modern day Wuhan, the capital of the Hubei province, in China. Along with the other two sister towns, it stands at the mouth of the Han River, and is situated on the right bank of the Yangtze River. The Wuchang fish (Megalobrama amblycephala; ) is named for the town.

Le Wuchang (武昌区 ; pinyin : Wǔchāng Qū ; EFEO : Wou-tch'ang) est un district du centre de la ville sous-provinciale de Wuhan. Il est situé sur la rive droite du Yangzi Jiang. Avant d'être intégrée à Wuhan, Wuchang était une ville indépendante.

Wuhan är provinshuvudstad för Hubei-provinsen i Kina. Staden har drygt 8 miljoner invånare och ligger belägen där floderna Yangtze och Hanfloden möts. Dagens stad är resultatet av en hopslagning av de tre mindre städerna Hankou, Wuchang och Hanyang.
