Lower Silesian Voivodeship (also "Lower Silesia Province" — ) is a voivodeship, or province, with its capital at Wrocław, on the middle Odra (Oder) River, in southwestern Poland. It comprises Lower Silesia, the northwestern part of the historic and geographic region of Silesia.The province was created January 1, 1999, out of the former Wrocław, Legnica, Wałbrzych and Jelenia Góra Voivodeships, pursuant to the 1998 Local Government Reorganization Act.
