Wisconsin

Wisconsin (French: Ouisconsin) is a state located near the center of the North American continent. It touches two of the five Great Lakes and is one of the fifty states that constitutes the United States of America. Wisconsin's capital is Madison, and its largest city is Milwaukee.  Jim Doyle  is the current Governor of Wisconsin, having held that office since January 6, 2003.

Wisconsin - stan na środkowym wschodzie Stanów Zjednoczonych. Wisconsin położone jest pomiędzy Jeziorem Górnym na północy i Jeziorem Michigan na wschodzie. Na zachodzie graniczy ze stanem Minnesota, na południowym zachodzie ze stanem Iowa, na południu z Illinois, a na północnym wschodzie z Michigan. Obszar całego stanu jest w większości nizinny i występują tu liczne jeziora polodowcowe.

Il Wisconsin è uno stato degli USA; il 23° per superficie e il 18° per popolazione (5.453.896 abitanti censiti nel 2002). Il nome dello stato è un inglesizzazione dell'adattamento francese di un nome indiano che si dice significhi "il luogo dove viviamo".Si trova nella regione dei Grandi Laghi, con i quali confina a nord (Lago Superiore) e ad est (Lago Michigan), sempre a nord confina anche con lo stato del Michigan, a sud con lo stato dell'Illinois, a Ovest con Iowa e Minnesota. Le bellezze naturali dello stato hanno reso il Wisconsin uno dei luoghi di vacanza preferiti degli statunitensi.
