Wilhelm Eduard Weber
Wilhelm Eduard Weber (October 241804 –  June 231891) was a German physicist.He was born in Wittenberg, where his father, Michael Weber, was professor of theology. William was the second of three brothers, all of whom were distinguished by an aptitude for the study of science. After the dissolution of the University of Wittenberg his father was transferred to Halle in 1815. William had received his first lessons from his father, but was now sent to the Orphan Asylum and Grammar School at Halle. After that he entered the University, and devoted himself to natural philosophy. He distinguished himself so much in his classes, and by original work, that after taking his degree of Doctor and becoming a Privatdozent he was appointed Professor Extraordinary of natural philosophy at Halle.

Wilhelm Eduard Weber
Wilhelm Weber (* 24. Oktober 1804 in Wittenberg; † 23. Juni 1891 in Göttingen) war ein deutscher Physiker. Er war der Sohn des Theologen Michael Weber und der Bruder der Physiologen Ernst Heinrich Weber (1795-1878) und Eduard Friedrich Weber (1806-1871).

Wilhelm Weber
Wilhelm Eduard Weber (ur. 24 października 1804 w Wittenberdze - zm. 23 czerwca 1891 w Getyndze) – niemiecki fizyk, badał magnetyzm i elektryczność.Urodził się w Wittenberdze, gdzie jego ojciec, Michael Weber, był profesorem teologii. William był drugim z trzech braci. Wszyscy otrzymali wykształcenie. W 1831 podjął pracę na Uniwersytecie w Getyndze, gdzie wraz z Gaussem zbudował bardzo czuły magnetometr do pomiaru natężenia pola magnetycznego, urządzenia do pomiaru prądu stałego i zmiennego, a także telegraf elektromagnetyczny.

Wilhelm Eduard Weber
Nacque a Wittenberg laddove suo padre, Michael Weber, insegnava teologia. William era il secondo di tre fratelli i quali erano tutti dotati di spiccata attitudine per gli studi scientifici. Nel 1815, dopo la chiusura dell'Università di Wittenberg, suo padre venne trasferito ad Halle. Quì Wilhelm ricevette i primi insegnamenti da suo padre ma in seguito proseguì i suoi studi ad Halle. Dopo essersi iscritto all'università si dedicò completamente alla filosofia della natura. Nel corso degli studi si distinse per l'originalità dei suoi lavori tanto che dopo aver conseguito la laurea ed essere diventato "privatdozent" (sorta di dottore di ricerca nel sistema universitario tedesco), fu nominato professore straordinario di Filosofia Naturale all'Università di Halle.
