Whitehaven

It is the meeting place and headquarters the Borough Council of Copeland, part of the County of Cumbria. Located on the west coast of the county, outside the Lake District National Park, Whitehaven is made up of a number of former villages, estates and suburbs, such as Kells, Mirehouse and Hensingham. The major industry is the nearby Sellafield nuclear power complex, with which a large proportion of the population has links.
