White Pony

White Pony is Deftones' third album, released in 2000. It is the follow up to Around the Fur, which was released in 1997, and marks a significant growth in the band's sound; incorporating New Wave and shoegaze influences with the alternative metal edge the group had honed and become known for. To this end, it is generally regarded by fans and critics alike as their most mature outing.

White Pony es el tercer álbum de estudio de Deftones, publicado en 2000 por el sello Maverick. Terry Date vuelve a producir este disco, uno de los más aclamados de la banda (junto a Around the Fur) y del género nu metal y metal alternativo.Maverick Records y Deftones lanzaron tres ediciones de White Pony. En una de ellas, en White Cover [Re-Release], aparece el single Back to School, uno de los mayores éxitos de la banda californiana. El hecho de no incluir este sencillo en la versión original del disco fue una estrategia comercial del sello. Chino Moreno admitió no estar satisfecho con ello.
