White House
The White House is the official residence and principal workplace of the President of the United States. Located at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue NW in Washington, D.C., the house was designed by Irish-born James Hoban, and built between 1792 and 1800 of white-painted Aquia sandstone in the Neoclassical style. It has been the residence of every U.S. president since John Adams. When Thomas Jefferson moved into the house in 1801, he (with architect Benjamin Henry Latrobe) expanded the building outward, creating two colonnades that were meant to conceal stables and storage.

Maison Blanche
La Maison Blanche est la résidence officielle et le bureau du président des États-Unis. Elle se situe au 1600, Pennsylvania avenue NW à Washington, DC. Ce bâtiment, construit entre 1792 et 1800 à partir de grès d'Aquia peint en blanc est inspiré du style géorgien. Il est la résidence et lieu de travail de tous les présidents américains depuis John Adams. Des ailes Est et Ouest, de chaque coté de l'Executive Residence furent rajoutées au début du .

Bialy Dom
Biały Dom (z ang. White House) - oficjalna rezydencja i miejsce pracy prezydentów USA. Nazwa taka została nadana budynkowi w 1901 roku przez prezydenta Roosevelta. Wcześniej nazywany był Pałacem Prezydenckim, Domem Prezydenckim i Siedzibą Władz Wykonawczych.
Także zwyczajowa nazwa najwyższej administracji Stanów Zjednoczonych, w których rząd bezpośrednio podlega prezydentowi.
W grudniu 1790 roku prezydent Waszyngton podpisał Act of Congress, przewidujący, iż rząd federalny będzie rezydował w okręgu, którego powierzchnia nie będzie przekraczała dziesięciu mil kwadratowych... u wybrzeży Potomaku. Prezydent Waszyngton wybrał, wraz z architektem miejskim Pierre'em L'Enfantem miejsce, w którym miał powstać budynek. Rozpisany konkurs wygrał projekt architektoniczny autorstwa Jamesa Hobana. Budynek, położony w Waszyngtonie przy 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, zaczął powstawać w październiku 1792 roku. Uroczyste oddanie do użytku nastąpiło w roku 1800. Pierwszym prezydentem, który w nim zamieszkał, był John Adams. Od czasu wprowadzenia się tam Adamsa, każda następna para prezydencka dokonywała własnych zmian w wystroju budynku. Fasada Białego Domu wykonana jest z białego marmuru sprowadzonego z południowej Chorwacji.
