Wels
Wels is the second largest city of the state of Upper Austria, located in the north of Austria, on the Traun River near Linz. It is not part of its surrounding Wels County (Bezirk Wels-Land), but a so-called Statutarstadt (independent city). However, Wels is the county seat of Wels-Land.

Wels (Stadt)
Wels ist die nach der Landeshauptstadt Linz zweitgrößte Stadt in Oberösterreich. Als Statutarstadt ist sie zugleich Gemeinde und Bezirk sowie Verwaltungssitz des Bezirks Wels-Land. Die Stadt erlebte während der Römerzeit und des Mittelalters eine Hochblüte. Seine heutige wirtschaftliche Bedeutung erlangte Wels als Messe- und Industriestandort sowie als Verkehrsknotenpunkt.

Wels är en stad i delstaten Oberösterreich i Österrike, 20 km sydväst om Linz vid floden Traun. Invånarantalet uppgick den 31 december 2008 till 58 520.

Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod
Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod (WELS) är ett amerikanskt lutherskt kyrkosamfund, grundat 1850 av tyska invandrare. WELS stod länge i kyrkogemenskap med Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod (LCMS), men denna bröts 1962.

Wels
Wels - miasto w północnej Austrii, drugie pod względem liczby ludności miasto kraju związkowego Górna Austria, nad rzeką Traun (dopływ Dunaju), na południowy zachód od Linzu. 57 tys. mieszkańców (2003). Wels jest miastem na prawach powiatu a zarazem siedzibą powiatu Wels-Land.
Przemysł maszynowy (maszyny rolnicze), metalurgiczny, chemiczny, odzieżowy, włókienniczy, spożywczy, ośrodek handlowy (targi rolne), węzeł kolejowy, muzeum. Na północ od Wels wydobycie gazu ziemnego.
