Appearance
The coat is short, smooth, and sleek. Coat color is shades of mouse gray to silver gray, sometimes with a small white mark on the chest. The unusually colored eyes are shades of light amber, gray, or blue-gray. Puppies are born with dark stripes running down the length of their bodies. The stripes disappear at three weeks of age.
Grooming & Exercise Needs
Weimaraners need a quick brushing once a week. They must be given long, vigorous workouts every day or they will become unmanageable and destructive.
Origins
The weimaraner, affectionately known as the Gray Ghost, was developed in Germany in the 19th century for large-game hunting.
