Waves (hairstyle)

Waves is a hairstyle created by and notably worn by African Americans that usually occurs naturally as part of the natural tightly curled wave pattern of Afro hair. Waves are usually created with a Brush, Pomade, Do-rag or Stocking cap, and constant brushing of the hair. Waves have become a big impact for the Southern United States and spread out through the United States.
