Washington (state)
Washington is a state in the Pacific Northwest region of the United States located north of Oregon, west of Idaho and south of the Canadian province of British Columbia, on the coast of the Pacific Ocean. Washington was carved out of the western part of Washington Territory which had been ceded by Britain in 1846 by the Oregon Treaty as settlement of the Oregon Boundary Dispute. It was admitted to the Union as the 42nd state in 1889.

État de Washington
L'État de Washington est situé à l'extrême nord-ouest des États-Unis. Il est bordé au nord par la province canadienne de la Colombie-Britannique, à l'est par l'Idaho, au sud par l'Oregon et à l'ouest par l'océan Pacifique. Il ne faut pas confondre l'État de Washington et la capitale des États-Unis, Washington (District de Columbia), située à l'est du pays.

Washington (delstat)
Washington är en delstat i nordvästra USA, vid Stilla havet. Delstaten har fått sitt namn efter USA:s förste president George Washington och det territorium som en gång utgjorde nordvästra USA. Folkmängden uppgick 2007 till 6 468 424.
