WARM
Warm
Warm is normally used as a subjective measure of temperature, commonly used to describe a comfortable temperature. It is strongly associated with
hot, and its antonym is
cool. For example, warm water is often described as around 35 degrees Celsius, but a warm day may be around 25 degrees Celsius (depending strongly on geographical location). Warm as a verb is used to add heat to something, for example "warm the food", or "global warming".

Eugenius Warming
Johannes Eugenius Bülow Warming (
November 3,
1841 -
April 2,
1924), known as Eugen Warming, was a
Danish botanist and a main founding figure of the scientific discipline of
ecology. Warming wrote the first textbook (
1895) on
plant ecology, taught the first university course in ecology and gave the concept its meaning and content. “If one individual can be singled out to be honoured as the founder of ecology, Warming should gain precedence” (Goodland 1975).
