Walloon Parliament

The Walloon Parliament, or Walloon Regional Parliament (French: Parlement wallon or Parlement régional wallon; formerly Walloon Regional Council or Conseil régional wallon), is the Parliament of the Walloon Region, the southern region of Belgium. Its seat is in Namur.All members of the Walloon Parliament are also members of the Parliament of the French Community.

Le Parlement wallon, appelé aussi Parlement de la Région wallonne dans la Constitution belge, exerce les compétences législatives de la Région wallonne. Il émet des décrets ayant force de loi. Il ratifie les traités signés par la Région wallonne ou par la Belgique qui nécessite son approbation comme par exemple le Traité constitutionnel européen (TCE).

Het Waals Parlement of Waalse Gewestraad is de volksvertegenwoordiging van het Waals Gewest. Het parlement is gevestigd in het oude Hospice Saint-Gilles in de stad Namen. Het parlement telt 75 leden. Om de vijf jaar worden er verkiezingen gehouden.
