Wahhabi

Wahhabism (Arabic: Al-Wahhābīyya الوهابية, Wahabism) is a branch of Sunni Islam practised by those who follow the teachings of Muhammad ibn Abd-al-Wahhab, after whom the movement is named. Ibn Abdul Wahhab, who reintroduced Islamic law to the Arabian peninsula, was influenced by the writings of scholars such as Ibn Taymiyya. This theology is the dominant form found in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Qatar, as well as some pockets of Somalia, Algeria, Palestine and Mauritania.

Histoire du wahhabisme: Le mouvement wahhabite date de près de 250ans. Il fut lancé par son fondateur Mouhammad bnu Abd al-wahhab dans la région du Najd en Arabie. Son père et son frère, tout deux savants réputés mirent en garde les gens très tôt contre son fanatisme, et son manque d'intelligence, en présageant qu'il soit à l'origine d'un grand malheur.

Als Wahhabiten werden die Anhänger der Wahhabiya, einer konservativen und dogmatischen Richtung des sunnitischen Islams hanbalitischer Richtung bezeichnet. Diese Bewegung geht, wie der Name nahelegt, auf Muhammad ibn Abd al-Wahhab zurück. Die Wahhabiten betrachten Ibn Abd al-Wahhab jedoch nicht als Gründergestalt, sondern als wichtige Autorität in der Auslegung der ursprünglichen Lehre des Islam. Die Anhänger Ibn Abd al-Wahhabs nehmen für sich in Anspruch, die islamische Lehre authentisch zu vertreten. Die Ahl-i Hadîth  genannte Gruppe steht den Wahhabiten nahe.

Wahhabizm to islamski ruch religijny i polityczny powstały w XVIII wieku na terenie Arabii. Opiera się na fundamentalizmie - tj. głosi powrót do źródeł: pierwotnej czystości islamu, prostoty i surowości obyczajów. Za podstawy wiary wahhabici uznają Koran i hadisy, interpretowane dosłownie. Ruch ten zwalczał mistycyzm muzułmański (sufizm), potępia kult świętych oraz świętych miejsc (z wyjątkiem Mekki i Medyny), podkreśla człowieczy aspekt natury Mahometa. Na poziomie polityki dąży do stworzenia harmonijnych stosunków między sprawiedliwym i łagodnym władcą a bezwzględnie posłusznym mu ludem.
