Wafa is the news agency of the Palestinian National Authority. Daily news from Palestinian territories, Israel and the Middle East is available in English, Arabic and Hebrew is available from Wafa, making it a major source of information over current events for those regions.

Abu'l-Wafa oder Abul Wefa oder, vollständig, Muhammad ibn Muhammad ibn Yahya ibn Isma'il ibn al-'Abbas Abu'l-Wafa' al-Buzjani (* 10. Juni 940 in Buzjan, nahe Jam in der Chorasan Region, heute Iran; † 15. Juli 998 in Bagdad, heute Irak) war ein herausragender persischer Mathematiker und Astronom des Mittelalters, welcher mehrere Bücher über angewandte Mathematik schrieb, verschiedene bedeutende trigonometrische Entdeckungen machte und, mittlerweile verloren gegangene, Kommentare zu den Werken von Euklid, Diophant von Alexandrien und al-Chwarizmi verfasste.
