Abenaki mythology
[Native American] The Abenaki are a tribe of the northeast, covering parts of Vermont, New Hampshire, Vermont, and Quebec (Canada). They belong to the Algonquin branch and shares a common root with neighbouring tribes such as the Micmac, the Maliseet, and the Pasmaquoddy. Their selected chiefs are called Sagamores. Their religion is divided into three time periods. The first is called the Ancient Age. In this age all life (animal and human) is undifferentiated. The second is called the Golden Age: the animals are still human, but quantitatively different. The last period is the Present Age, where animals and humans are completely different.
