Walk over (Abk. w.o.) ist ein dem Englischen entlehnter Fachausdruck aus dem Bereich Sport. Er bedeutet soviel wie "leichter Sieg" und bezeichnet ein auf außerordentliche Weise gewonnenen Wettkampf. Der ursprüngliche Gebrauch des Begriffes stammt aus dem Pferdesport, wo nach der Aufgabe der Wettbewerber der noch verbliebene Teilnehmer die Ziellinie überschreiten musste ("to walk over"), um den Sieg für sich zu beanspruchen.

O verbo walk over significa "to win without difficulty against", ou seja, ganhar sem dificuldade. O substantivo walkover (uma única palavra) significa "an easy victory", que em português é vitória fácil. O W.O. acontece quando um time não comparece no local da partida.
