Volkswagen Lupo

The Volkswagen Lupo was a city car manufactured by German automaker Volkswagen from 1998 to 2005. It was introduced in 1998 to fill a gap at the bottom of the VW model range caused by the increasing size and weight of the VW Polo. Rivals included the Ford Ka, the Opel Agila and the Fiat Panda. The SEAT Arosa was a badge-engineered version of the Lupo.The car was available with a variety of engine sizes and trim levels, from budget models through to the GTI variant. The 6-speed Lupo GTI has been labelled a true successor to the VW Golf Mk.1, the first true hot hatch.

La Volkswagen Lupo est un véhicule automobile citadin du constructeur allemand Volkswagen commercialisé d'octobre 1998 à 2005. Elle est le clone de la Seat Arosa, apparue un an plus tôt. Elle était fabriquée dans l'usine de Forest en Belgique.

Der Lupo ist die europäische Kleinstwagenmodellreihe des VW-Konzerns, nahezu baugleich mit dem Seat Arosa, der 1997 auf den Markt kam. Der Lupo folgte erst im Sommer 1998, obwohl VW bereits 1991 mit dem VW Chico Interesse an einer Teilnahme im Kleinstwagensegment zeigte. Das Fahrzeug war nur dreitürig erhältlich und verfügt wahlweise über vier oder fünf Sitzplätze. Es hat einen recht kleinen Kofferraum, der sich aber durch Umlegen der Rückbank erheblich vergrößern lässt.

Volkswagen Lupo – najmniejszy i najtańszy hatchback Volkswagena. Zaprezentowany w 1998r., produkowany w Wolfsburgu do 2005r. Bliźniaczym modelem jest Seat Arosa, jednak różni się od niego stylistyką (zewnętrznie różnią się od siebie wystrojem przedniej części nadwozia, która w Volkswagenie otrzymała okrągłe jednostki świetlne oraz inną kratką wlotu powietrza).

La Volkswagen Lupo è stata un'autovettura costruita dalla casa automobilistica Volkswagen dal 1998 al 2005.Fu introdotta nel 1998 per riempire il vuoto che si era creato nella gamma dei modelli Volkswagen a causa dell'aumento delle dimensioni della VW Polo e la conseguente assenza della casa tedesca nel settore delle più piccole city car. Tra le automobili rivali vi erano la Ford Ka, la Opel Agila e la Fiat Panda. Praticamente in contemporanea alla Lupo, da parte della SEAT, azienda dello stesso gruppo, venne presentata la SEAT Arosa che ne era una versione modificata.
