Vichy France
Vichy France, Vichy Regime, Vichy Government, or simply Vichy are common terms used to describe the government of France which collaborated with the Axis powers from July 1940 to August 1944, during the Second World War. It officially called itself the French State (État Français) and was headed by Marshal Philippe Pétain, who proclaimed the government following the 1940 allied defeat against Axis Powers.

Vichy
Vichy [] ist eine Stadt in der französischen Region Auvergne und nach Montluçon die zweitgrößte Stadt im Département Allier. Die Stadt ist Sitz der Unterpräfektur (frz. Sous-préfecture) des Arrondissements Vichy, dieses besteht aus elf Kantonen, sie ist Hauptort (frz. chef-lieu) der Kantone Vichy-Nord und Vichy-Sud.

Vichy-Regime
Als Vichy-Regime bezeichnet man im Rückblick die Regierung von Vichy-Frankreich (offiziell: État français, dt.: Französischer Staat), das heißt de facto der „unbesetzten Zone“ Frankreichs nach Anerkennung der militärischen Niederlage gegen das Deutsche Reich am 22. Juni 1940 und der Verfassungsänderung vom 17. Juli 1940. Es löste die Dritte Französische Republik ab, bestand bis 1944 und erhielt den Namen nach seinem Regierungssitz, dem Kurort Vichy in der Auvergne.

Régime de Vichy
La France sous le régime de Vichy traite de l'histoire de la France entre 1940 et 1944 lorsque le pays est sous domination allemande. Les Allemands, qui occupent d'abord la partie nord, et à partir de novembre 1942, le pays tout entier, laissent l'administration française sous l'autorité d'un gouvernement français dirigé par le maréchal Pétain promu président du Conseil par Albert Lebrun et installé à Vichy. Dès juin 1940, Pétain, qui n'a pas le statut de président de la République, met en œuvre une Collaboration avec les Nazis. Celle-ci prendra plusieurs formes au cours de la guerre, dont les arrestations de Résistants et de francs-maçons, ainsi que les rafles de Juifs.

Vichyregimen
Vichyregimen eller Vichyfrankrike är en vanlig benämning på den franska regim som regerade mellan juni 1940 och augusti 1944, under andra världskriget och den tyska ockupationen. Regimen kallades officiellt L'État français (Den franska staten); statschef var marskalk Philippe Pétain. Vichyregimen styrde den södra "fria zonen" av Frankrike och de flesta franska kolonier. Efter att Tyskland i november 1942 även ockuperat den södra delen behöll Vichyregimen administrationen av zonen.

Vichy
Według danych na rok 1990 gminę zamieszkiwały 27 714 osoby, a gęstość zaludnienia wynosiła 4,737 osób/km² (wśród 1310 gmin Owernii Vichy plasuje się na 4. miejscu pod względem liczby ludności, natomiast pod względem powierzchni na miejscu 957.). Vichy to słynne uzdrowisko, znane już w czasach rzymskich jako Aquae Calidae. Jego szczególny rozkwit przypada na wiek XIX. W Vichy produkowana jest - z kilku źródeł, m.in. nazwanych "Napoleon III" i "Cellestine" - znana woda mineralna. W czasie II wojny światowej siedziba kolaborującego z nazistami rządu marszałka Pétaina (tzw. rząd Vichy) któremu w tutejszej operze 10 lipca 1940 parlament francuski przekazał pełnię władzy.
