Veracruz est un État  situé à l'est du Mexique. Veracruz est situé entre 17° 10' et 22° 38' Nord et entre 93° 55' et 98° 38' Ouest. Le nom officiel de l'État est Veracruz-Llave.

Veracruz (Veracruz de Ignacio de la Llave) ist ein Bundesstaat an der Ostküste Mexikos, er hat 71.699 km² und ca. 7,3 Mio. Einwohner. Seine Hauptstadt ist nicht Veracruz, die größte Stadt und traditionell der wichtigste Hafen, sondern das klimatisch günstigere Xalapa. Der Bundesstaat ist langgezogen und hat Anteil an der Küstenebene sowie an den Ostabhängen des Hochlandes von Mexiko. Der wichtigste Wirtschaftszweig ist die Erdölförderung. Traditionelle Exportgüter der Region sind Kaffee, Gummi, Kakao, Vanille und Baumwolle.

Veracruz (hiszp. Veracruz de Ignacio de la Llave) – stan we wschodnim Meksyku. Graniczy ze stanami: Tamaulipas (na północy); Oaxaca, Chiapas i Tabasco (na południu); San Luis Potosí, Hidalgo i Puebla (na zachodzie). Od wschodu sąsiaduje z Zatoką Meksykańską.

Veracruz è uno dei 31 stati del Messico. Si trova nella parte orientale del paese, tra 17°10' e 22°38' Nord e tra 93°55' e 98°38' Ovest. Confina a nord con lo stato di Tamaulipas, con quelli di Oaxaca e Chiapas a sud, Tabasco a sud-est, Puebla, Hidalgo e San Luis Potosí a ovest, infine ad est è bagnato dal Golfo del Messico. La capitale è Xalapa.
