Veii (also Veius, Italian: Veio) was, in ancient times, an important Etrurian city NNW of Rome, Italy; its site lies in Isola Farnese, a village of Municipio XX, an administrative subdivision of the comune of Rome in the Province of Rome. Many sites associated with Veii, which were in the city-state of Veii, are also located in Formello, another comune of the Province of Rome, immediately to the north. Formello is named after the drainage channels first created by the Veians.

Veji (lateinisch Veii, heute Veio bei Isola Farnese) war eine wichtige antike etruskische Stadt; sie lag an der Cremera, einem Nebenfluss des Tiber, 18 Kilometer nordnordwestlich von Rom und ist aus Siedlungen der Villanovakultur entstanden. In der Blütezeit der etruskischen Kultur hatte Veji mehrere tausend Einwohner.

Véies (prononcer [vé-i]), en latin Veii (la prononciation et la graphie Véiès sont donc fautives), était une puissante cité étrusque située à la frontière sud de l'Étrurie, dans la campagne falisque, à 16 km au nord de Rome sur le territoire de la commune de Formello. Elle était considérée comme la plus riche des villes de la Ligue étrusque. Son histoire est marquée par les guerres incessantes avec Rome pendant plus de quatre siècles. Elle tombe finalement aux mains du général romain Camille en -396. Elle continue d'être occupée après sa capture par les Romains ; l'impératrice Livie y a une villa.

Veji, beläget 16 km från Rom och var den etruskiska stad som låg närmast Rom. Efter ett 11-årigt krig erörades Veji år 396 f.Kr. av Marcus Furius Camillus; under detta krig infördes seden att betala krigsfolket sold. Genom denna seger kunde romarna framflytta sitt välde i Etrurien ända till trakten av Viterbo.

Weje (łac. Veii) - jedno z 12 najpotężniejszych miast-państw etruskich. Leżało ok. 20 km na północ od Rzymu.
