Vampire

Vampires are mythological or folkloric beings that are renowned for subsisting on human blood or lifeforce, but in some cases may prey on animals. Although vampires have different characteristics depending on which lore one reads, in most cases, they are described as reanimated corpses who feed by draining and consuming the blood of living beings.

Le vampire est une créature chimérique non-morte et non-vivante qui, suivant divers folklores et superstitions populaires, sort du tombeau pour sucer le sang des vivants afin d'en tirer la force vitale. La légende des vampires puise ses origines dans des traditions mythologiques anciennes et l'on retrouve des êtres légendaires dotés de caractéristiques des vampires dans toutes sortes de cultures à travers le monde.

Vampire (auch Vampyre) (vom serbischen: vampir) sind im Volksglauben und der Mythologie Blut saugende Nachtgestalten, meist wiederbelebte menschliche Leichname, die von menschlichem oder tierischem Blut leben und übernatürliche Kräfte besitzen. Je nach Kultur und Mythos werden den Vampiren verschiedene Eigenschaften und magische Kräfte zugeschrieben, manchmal handelt es sich auch um nichtmenschliche Gestalten wie Dämonen oder Tiere (z. B.  Fledermäuse, Hunde, Spinnen).

Wampir (nosferatu) - legendarna, prawie nieśmiertelna istota o ludzkiej postaci i charakterystycznych wydłużonych kłach, żywiąca się ludzką krwią. Zależnie od źródła, wampirom przypisywane są liczne zdolności paranormalne, m.in. regeneracja, transformacja w zwierzę (zazwyczaj nietoperza), lewitacja czy telekineza. Najczęściej są śmiertelnie nadwrażliwe na światło słoneczne i polują nocą.

Il vampiro è una figura mitologica mostruosa presente, sotto le più varie forme, nel folklore di tutti i continenti. È, quasi sempre, un morto che per varie ragioni ritorna dalla tomba per tormentare e uccidere i vivi, molto spesso succhiando loro il sangue. La figura del vampiro ha subito molte modifiche nei secoli e solo recentemente ha acquisito un certo fascino sinistro che ci è tramandato dalla letteratura e dal cinema.
