VGA (Video Graphic Adapter)
A computer video format or equipment to reproduce same, using 480 visible scan lines each capable of resolving 640 pixels. The significance of this format is that the image is made up of the same number of scan lines transmitted at the same rate (scan rate) as NTSC video after de-interlacing.. If not confined to a broadcast channel, an (interlaced) NTSC video signal can also hold the detail of all 640 pixels across. VGA signals cannot be sent directly into a standard NTSC video input.
