Vác
Vác, en allemand Waitzen, est une ville de habitants située sur la rive gauche du Danube à 35 km au nord de Budapest. La ville existait déjà au IIe siècle. Elle était mentionnée par Ptolémée sous le nom d'Uvcenum comme important carrefour fluvial. Elle devint siège épiscopal à partir du XIe siècle.

Vác (in slovacco Vacov: in tedesco Waitzen: in italiano (arcaico) Vaccia: in latino Vacium) è un'antica città ungherese della provincia di Pestsede episcopale cattolica (la più estesa, e fino al 1993 anche la più popolosa, diocesi d'Ungheria), che sorge sulla riva sinistra del Danubio a 32 km a nord di Budapest e all'inizio dell'ansa del Danubio.
