Vênus

VENUS is an acronym for the Victoria Experimental Network Under the Sea. The VENUS project is operated out of the University of Victoria and is an advanced cabled sea floor observatory, consisting of fibre optic cables connecting oceanographic instruments on the sea floor of the Pacific Ocean off the coast British Columbia to a dedicated shore-station. The first array of sub-sea instruments is in Saanich Inlet. A second array will be installed in the Strait of Georgia in the fall of 2007. Data from the sub-sea instruments are retrieved in real time and stored at the University of Victoria where the data (including images and audio) are processed and made available to researchers and the public through the VENUS website. Venus is the second-closest planet to the Sun, orbiting it every 224.7 Earth days. It is the brightest natural object in the night sky, except for the Moon, reaching an apparent magnitude of −4.6. Because Venus is an inferior planet, from Earth it never appears to venture far from the Sun: its elongation reaches a maximum of 47.8°. Venus reaches its maximum brightness shortly before sunrise or shortly after sunset, for which reason it is often called the Morning Star or the Evening Star.

Vénus est la 2  planète du système solaire en partant du Soleil. Son orbite autour du Soleil dure 224,7 jours. C'est le 3 objet le plus brillant du ciel  avec une magnitude apparente de -4,6, après le Soleil (-26,73) et la Lune (-12,6) ; donc très facile à repérer parmi les étoiles. Comme Vénus est sur une orbite plus petite que celle de la Terre, elle ne semble jamais loin du Soleil. Son élongation atteint un maximum de 47,8°.

Die Venus ist der zweitinnerste Planet sowie der sechstgrößte des Sonnensystems. Sie zählt zu den vier erdähnlichen Planeten, die auch terrestrische oder Gesteinsplaneten genannt werden.Venus ist der Planet, der auf seiner Umlaufbahn der Erdbahn am nächsten kommt. Sie hat fast die gleiche Größe wie unsere Erde, unterscheidet sich aber in Bezug auf Geologie und v.a. hinsichtlich ihrer Atmosphäre. Nach dem Mond ist sie das hellste natürliche Objekt am Dämmerungs- oder nächtlichen Sternhimmel. Da die Venus als einer der unteren Planeten morgens oder abends am besten sichtbar ist und bei uns nie gegen Mitternacht, wird sie auch Morgen- beziehungsweise Abendstern genannt. Sie ist auch gut am Taghimmel beobachtbar, schon mit kleinen Fernrohren - und öfters sogar mit freiem Auge. Näheres dazu im Hauptartikel Tagbeobachtung.

Venus - zespół muzyczny z gatunku disco polo, powstały w 1996 roku. Wokalistką grupy jest Anna Niedziałkowska. Na swoim koncie zespół ma 8 płyt, z czego trzy to albumy z autorskimi piosenkami, a pięć pozostałych to płyty z coverami polskich i zagranicznych piosenek. W roku 1996 zespół otrzymał Złotą Płytę przyznaną przez F.F.H. STD za płytę "Szukaj serca" i statuetkę za najlepszy debiut'96 przyznaną przez redakcję miesięcznika "Super Disco" i program muzyczny Disco Relax.

Wenus – druga według oddalenia od Słońca planeta Układu Słonecznego. Wenus jest trzecim pod względem jasności ciałem niebieskim po Słońcu i Księżycu widocznym na niebie. Ponieważ obserwacje tej planety są możliwe tylko wieczorem i rano, nazywana jest także: Jutrzenką, Gwiazdą Poranną lub Gwiazdą Wieczorną (starożytni Grecy nazywali ją odpowiednio: Phosphorus i Hesperos). Jest skalnym globem osnutym gęstymi chmurami, które odbijają większość światła słonecznego. Żółtawy kolor chmur atmosfery pochodzi od kwasu siarkowego. Nie posiada naturalnego satelity (odnaleziono ciało o średnicy blisko kilometra, które znajduje się w punkcie Lagrange'a L1 trójkąta Wenus-Słońce-to ciało, które można by traktować jako naturalnego satelitę Wenus). Znak Wenus oznacza płeć kobiety. Jej nazwa wzięła się od rzymskiej bogini miłości, Wenus.

Il suo simbolo astronomico è la rappresentazione stilizzata della mano della dea Venere che sorregge uno specchio (Unicode:).È l'oggetto naturale più luminoso nel cielo notturno, con l'eccezione della Luna, raggiungendo una magnitudine apparente di -4.6. Venere raggiunge la sua massima brillantezza poco prima dell'alba o poco dopo il tramonto, e per questa ragione è spesso chiamata la "Stella del Mattino" o la "Stella della Sera".
