USS Defiant (NCC-1764)

For the article on Star Trek: Deep Space Nine's Defiants, see USS Defiant In the Star Trek universe, the USS Defiant (NCC-1764) is one of the original twelve Federation Constitution-class starships. The Defiant is seen in the original series episode "The Tholian Web" and in the Star Trek: Enterprise episode "In a Mirror, Darkly". The registry is not seen in the original series episode, but is prominently seen in the Enterprise episode, having had this registry in the Star Trek Encyclopedia.

No universo Star Trek, a USS Defiant (NCC-1764) é uma da doze naves originais Classe Constitution da Federação de Planetas Unidos. A Defiant é mostrada no episódio "The Tholian Web" da série original Star Trek e no episódio "In a Mirror, Darkly" da série Star Trek: Enterprise.Sua irmã mais nova surgiu na série Star trek: Deep Space Nine, no episódio "The Search, Part I", e após isso continuou a ter uma relevância significante no decorrer da série. Quando a primeira Defiant (NX-74205) é destruída, sua reposição é rapidamente providenciada quando outra nave (NCC-75633) é renomeada como Defiant por Benjamin Sisko que recebeu permissão especial do Comando de operações da Frota Estelar para renomear uma das naves da frota. Também apareceu no filme "Star Trek: Primeiro Contato".
