Universidad de Especialidades Espíritu Santo (UEES) is a non-profit private university located in
Guayaquil,
Ecuador and was founded by Dr. Carlos Ortega Maldonado. It was accredited by
''CONESUP'', which is the Ecuadorian higher education accrediting agency. The Campus first opened in the northern part of the city, but then it moved to its new campus, adjacent to the city of Guayaquil and near the suburb of Samborondón. One distinctive program of UEES is the International Careers Program (ICP.) The program allows Ecuadorian students to take as many subjects as they wish in English and allows foreign students to study their subjects in both English and Spanish, as well as to get involved with Ecuadorian culture.
