UEFA
The Union Européenne de Football Association or Union of European Football Associations in English, almost always referred to by the acronym UEFA (pronounced (you-AY-fuh) or (oo-Ay-fuh) or ), is the administrative and controlling body for European
football. It represents the national football associations of Europe, runs Europe-wide national and club competitions, and controls the prize money, regulations and media rights to those competitions. Several national football associations which are geographically in
Asia or
mostly in Asia belong to UEFA rather than the
Asian Football Confederation. These nations are
Armenia,
Georgia,
Kazakhstan,
Turkey,
Israel,
Cyprus,
Russia and
Azerbaijan (Israel and Kazakhstan are former AFC members).
Cyprus chose to be classed as a European football nation — it had the choice of Europe, Asia and Africa.

Baschkortostan,
Russland. Sie liegt an der Mündung der Flüsse
Ufa und Djoma in die
Belaja (Agidel) etwa 100 km westlich des
Ural und hat 1.036.000 Einwohner (Stand: 2005); davon sind 54,2% Russen, 27%
Tataren, 11,3%
Baschkiren, 2,6%
Ukrainer, 1,1%
Tschuwaschen, 1%
Mari und der Rest Angehörige vieler weiterer kleiner Minderheiten. Die Stadt zieht sich in einer Länge von ca. 50 km von Südwest nach Nordost und nimmt eine Fläche von 753,7 km² ein. Die geographischen Koordinaten sind: 54,78° Nord, 56,04° Ost. Die Zeitzone Ufas ist GMT+0500 oder CET+0400 (Mitteleuropäische Zeit +4h) mit regulärer Umstellung zwischen Sommer- und Winterzeit.
