Týr
Tyr (
Old Norse: Týr, ) is the god of
single combat and heroic glory in
Norse mythology, portrayed as a one-handed man. In the late Icelandic Eddas, he is portrayed, alternately, as the son of
Odin (Prose Edda) or of
Hymir (Poetic Edda), while the origins of his name and his possible relationship to Tuisto (see
Tacitus' Germania) suggest he was once considered the father of the gods and head of the pantheon.

Tyr

Tyr (Týr) to jeden z głównych
bogów nordyckich z dynastii
Azów. Jego inne imiona to Tiu, Tiw, Ziu lub Tîwaz. Tyr to bóg wojny, walki i siły, a także honoru, prawa, sprawiedliwości. Zwany był "jednorękim", gdyż stracił rękę podczas próby poskromienia wilka
Fenrira. Bogowie, zdając sobie sprawę z zagrożenia, jakie stanowi ten potwór, poprosili krasnoludy o sporządzenie cienkiej i deliktnej sieci, do założenia której starali się podstępem nakłonić Fenrira. Gdy odkrył, że wpadł w pułapkę, odgryzł dłoń Tyra, ponieważ to właśnie on przyjął ryzykowny zakład.

Týr
Týr era il
dio della
guerra nella
mitologia norrena, identificato come equivalente di Marte in quella
romana, nonché patrono della giustizia. L'
Grecia e nell'
antica Roma, e in seguito si è caratterizzato nelle divinità
Zeus e
Giove (Iuppiter).
