Tycho Brahe
Tycho Brahe (14 December 154624 October 1601), born Tyge Ottesen Brahe, was a Danish nobleman known for his accurate and comprehensive astronomical and planetary observations. Coming from Scania, then part of Denmark, now part of modern-day Sweden, Tycho was well known in his lifetime as an astronomer and alchemist.

Tycho Brahe, född 14 december 1546 i Knutstorp i Skåne, då en del av Danmark, död 24 oktober 1601 i Prag i Böhmen (nuvarande Tjeckien), var en dansk astronom, astrolog och alkemist. Brahe har eftermäle som skicklig instrumentbyggare, noggrann, systematisk observatör och en av ytterst få som upptäckt en supernova i Vintergatan.

Tycho Brahe
Tycho Brahe (właśc. Tyge Ottesen Brahe, także (mylnie) Tycho de Brahe; ur. 14 grudnia 1546 r. w zamku Knutstrup w Skanii - zm. 24 października 1601 r. w Pradze) - duński astronom.

Zainteresowanie astronomią rozbudziło w czternastoletnim chłopcu dobrze widoczne w Danii zaćmienie Słońca, które nastąpiło w 1560. Uczył się łaciny na uniwersytecie w Kopenhadze, a następnie studiował prawo i matematykę w Lipsku i Rostocku. Potem studiował także w Bazylei i Augsburgu. W 1570 wrócił do Danii.
