TUNIS
TUNIS (Toronto University System) was a Unix-like operating system, developed at the University of Toronto in the early 1980s.TUNIS was a mostly compatible clone of Unix V7, but with a completely redesigned kernel, written in Concurrent Euclid. TUNIS targeted the PDP-11 and Motorola 6809 and 68000 architectures.

Tunis (Arabic: تونس, Tūnis) is the capital of the Tunisian Republic and also the Tunis Governorate, with a population of 728,453 in 2004. Informal estimates state that the population of greater Tunis approaches two million.Situated on a large Mediterranean gulf, (the Gulf of Tunis), behind the Lake of Tunis and the port of La Goulette (Halq al Wadi), the city extends along the coastal plain and the hills that surround it. At the centre of more modern development (colonial era and post) lies the old medina. Beyond this section lie the suburbs of Carthage, La Marsa, and Sidi Bou Said.

Tunis est la principale ville de la TunisieCapitale du pays sans interruption depuis le 20 septembre 1159 (5 ramadan 554 du calendrier musulman) sous l’impulsion des Almohades, confirmée dans son statut sous la dynastie des Hafsides en 1228, elle est également le chef-lieu du gouvernorat du même nom depuis sa création en 1956.

Tunis, (arab. تونس; [Tūnis]) – stolica Tunezji, położona w odległości ok. 10 km od Morza Śródziemnego, nad zachodnim brzegiem jeziora Tunis.Miasto znajduje się ok. 17 km na południowy zachód od dawnej Kartaginy.Tunis jest największym ośrodkiem kulturalnym i gospodarczym Tunezji. Znajduje się w nim ważny port morski i lotniczy, a także węzeł drogowy i kolejowy. Jest to jeden z najważniejszych punktów turystycznych na mapie Tunezji.

Tunisi (in arabo تونس, Tūnis) è una città di 728.000 abitanti dell'Africa settentrionale, capitale e massimo porto della Tunisia, e capitale del governatorato omonimo. Si trova sulle rive di una laguna presso l'antica Cartagine, unita al Mar Mediterraneo da un canale navigabile di circa 10 km che lo collega all'avamporto della Goletta. La sua esistenza è già testimoniata nel IV secolo a.C.. I dintorni della città sono ricchi di vigneti e uliveti.
