Tugay Kerimoglu

Tugay Kerimoğlu (born August 24, 1970 in Trabzon, Turkey) is a Turkish footballer who has been playing for  Blackburn Rovers since 2001. Tugay's previous club was Rangers. Tugay also appeared for his country many times, including the Euro 2000 and the 2002 FIFA World Cup, but retired in 2003 after Turkey failed to qualify for Euro 2004. After 4 years of absence, he has returned back to the national team for the Euro 2008 qualifiers.

Tugay Kerimoglu, dit Tugay (né le 24 août 1970 à Trabzon), est un footballeur turc au poste de milieu de terrain défensif. Après 10 ans passés à Galatasaray, il s'envola pour l'Europe, d'abord à Glasgow (2,3 M€) puis au Blackburn Rovers. Il termina sa carrière internationale face au Brésil au mois de mai 2007.

Gioca con gli inglesi dal 2001: precedentemente aveva giocato con il Galatasaray (dal 1988 al gennaio 2000) e con i Rangers. Col Galatasaray ha vinto 6 campionati e 4 coppe nazionali, diventandone una bandiera degli anni novanta. con la sua nazionale ha partecipato agli Europei 1996, agli Europei 2000 e ai Mondiali 2002 (3° posto).
