Transmission (telecommunications)
In telecommunications, transmission is the forwarding of signal traffic over distances that are too great to be simply connected by a twisted pair wires. Techniques available now may be microwave linksatellite linkcoaxial cable or fibre optic cable. Most modern transmission is digital. Examples of analog transmission are AM and FM radio.
