Transforming growth factor

Transforming growth factor (TGF) is used to describe two classes of polypeptide growth factors, TGFα and TGFβ. The name "Transforming Growth Factor" is somewhat arbitrary, since the two classes of TGFs are not structurally or genetically related to one another, and they act through different receptor mechanisms. Furthermore, they do not always induce cellular transformation, and are not the only growth factors that induce cellular transformation.

Der Transforming Growth Factor (Abk. TGF, deut. Transformierender Wachstumsfaktor) gehört zu den Zytokinen zählenden Signalmolekülen. Sie sind namensgebend für die TGF-Signalwege. TGF spielen eine sehr wichtige Rolle bei der embryonalen Entwicklung und der Differenzierung von Zellen und Geweben. Sie werden in verschiedene Gruppen eingeteilt: in die TGF-a- sowie TGF-ß-Superfamile und die BMP-Familie.

Transformující rustový faktor (TGF – z angl. transforming growth factor ci také tumor growth factor) je oznacení pro nesourodou skupinu rustových faktoru, které obecne inhibují bunecné delení (proliferaci). Delí se na dve velké skupiny:TGFa – produkované makrofágy, bunkami v mozku a keratinocyty. Zpusobuje rust a vývoj epitelové tkáne a nekteré TGFa mohou být pri nadmerné produkci spojeny se vznikem nádoru.TGFß – existuje ve trech typech (TGFß1, TGFß2, TGFß3). Marfanuv syndrom je zpusobený jejich nadmernou expresí, stejne jako nekteré typy rakoviny. Úcastní se regenerace tkání, bunecné diferenciace, embryogeneze a regulace imunitního systému. TGFß receptory jsou serine–threonin kinázy.
