Trabzonspor

Trabzonspor is a Turkish football club, from the Black Sea port city of Trabzon playing in the Turkish Premier Super League. Trabzonspor was formed in 1967 in a merger of two local clubs. Many of the players from these teams became part of the team to win promotion to the top division, and helped Trabzonspor in their early years in the top flight. Along with three other Istanbul clubs known as the 'big three' (Galatasaray SK, Fenerbahçe SK, Beşiktaş J.K.), they are the only club outside of Istanbul to have won the Turkish title, earning a name as one of the "Big Four". Trabzonspor's nicknames are the "Bordeaux Blues" and the "Black Sea storm". Recently the team has created controversy on its behaviour towards its players after Mirosław Szymkowiak retired from football.[1]

Trabzonspor Kulübü (deutsch: Sportklub Trabzon) ist ein Fußballverein aus der türkischen Hafenstadt Trabzon. Der am 2. August 1967 gegründete Verein wurde in den Jahren 1976 bis 1984 sechsmal türkischer Meister und ist bis heute der einzige nicht-Istanbuler Fußballclub, der den Meistertitel errang. Während der Verein 2004 den siebten nationalen Pokalerfolg erzielte, blieb die Mannschaft international noch ohne Titel. Trabzonspor verfügt in der Türkei über mehrere Jugendinternate. Trotz der anhaltenden Meisterschaftskrise seit 1984, zählt Trabzonspor zu den vier Großen der Türkei und wird jedes Jahr als Meisterkandidat gewertet.

Trabzonspor - turecki klub piłkarski z siedzibą w mieście Trabzon, założony w 1967, występujący w sezonie 2006/2007 w rozgrywkach Superligi.W sezonie 1998/99 Trabzonspor został wyeliminowany już w rundzie kwalifikacyjnej Pucharu UEFA przez Wisłę Kraków. Do europejskich pucharów powrócił w sezonie 2003/04 gdzie w 1. rundzie Pucharu UEFA uległ hiszpańskiemu Villarreal CF. W następnym sezonie Trabzonspor zagrał w eliminacjach Ligi Mistrzów. W 2. rundzie kwalifikacyjnej pokonał mistrza Łotwy Skonto Ryga, jednak następnie odpadł w pojedynku z Dynamem Kijów, a w Pucharze UEFA z Athletic Bilbao.
